I just won the award of the most retarded idiot on CGN....

I was wondering if a vibrosonic cleaner would work, not that many folks have access to one big enough. There's a business idea. I'll add that to the list.

I bought my Tavor in 2007 from the first batch here , have over 8000 rounds through it and have never taken off the barrel to clean it . only clean it like the manual says , from the back end with the barrel on , still runs like a champ .

lessons learned, George at North Sylva called me at 530pm on a friday B.C time ... Thats some great customer service...

Just got my confirmation email 117$ with shipping...

The most effective way to remember is to learn the hard way - I'm sure you won't forget next time. As for the award, I'd have to disagree, I've seen way dumber on here. You're not even second place.

I totally wanted the 2014 award... Ha well will have try try harder next year..... 10 000 views on this post is kind of funny.... lol....

Got some goodies in today.

2500$ gun with a broken 60$ part. not worth taking a chance IMHO.

I ran about 200 rounds thru mine while waiting for the parts to show up.

Can I have your Elcan since you won't be needing it anymore?

Haha, sorry man, couldn't resist. Hey, at least I'm not asking you what your boot size is.

Gonna have a couple of shots in the JR's Mess on your behalf...counting down in 27....26....25 minutes.

*EDIT* Nvrmd...just realized how old this thread was. Congrats on getting your Tavor fixed.....guess you'll be needing the Elcan afterall

To the OP ... I'm curious. Has this experience changed your opinion on cleaning your rifles or do you still think that cleaning them isn't a good idea? (Also wondering if you will be cleaning your CADEX when you get it?)

Wish I lived in the USA, talked to the guys at Tavor, and they were willing to ship me a new gas tube at no charge, until I told him I am in Canada.....

Guys, I just did what the OP did. And I'm pretty sure I've read some of this thread before. I think I'm gonna cry.

Anyways my OP rod and Cocking Group are locked stiff, and won't come out now that I have the barrel lock on the "Open" position.

I tried turning it back to "L" Locked and encountered some serious resistance. I don't have the slightest clue what to do at this point.

Please Help OP!!!
