The AR is like what going on 50 years old?

The M16, the basic design in general, sure. The AR has evolved over the years with better kit, pistons, monolithic rails, etc. etc. I fail to understand the logic behind your post. The platform has proven itself over the years, and with time it's only gotten better.

THIS is the problem everytime an XCR thread comes up the AR guys come in and trash it what is it are they scared of the XCR WHAT GIVES ?

No, the problem is the XCR guys talk like the rifle is the end all be all of black rifles. I bet most of this faboy worship is just because it's non-restricted. I bet my whole arsenal that if the AR was non-res you'd all be changing your tune.

Seriously samuel, you're going full retard again.

What the XCR gives me???? lol Instead I'll tell you what my AR gives me. There's not one win the XCR has over my AR.

-LMT MRP quick change barrels & calibres
-Monolithic rails
-Can add a longer rail
-Light weight
-Stock options with no adapter's
-Battle proven track record
-More aftermarket parts and support
-LMT piston conversion
-Ambi Controlls Available
-RELIABILITY!!!!

The only thing the XCR has over the AR is a non-res status. This means precisely ####.

So please stop talking like your XCR's are a god send, and we AR guys will stop invading your fanboy threads.

I'll be the first to admit that I am half the problem with these threads. There were a few XCR discussion threads with a few legally retarded XCR owners that ruined the rifle for me more than the one I owned ever could. I've tried on numerous occasions to have civil discussions about the rifle, backing up my arguments with experiences and facts. I would simply be dismissed as a "hater".

The fact remains, all those members on this site giving legitimate reason for the XCR not being a great rifle are all the members with the experience to make those comments. These are the guys who's opinions and advice I would trust my life with.

From my very brief experience with the XCR is that its a decent firearm. Shoots very accurate but with like all things there are some kinks.

We have read Robinson's response but Id like to see the original email sent out. We all know there is 3 sides to a story. But at least RA said it straight up that you keep pissing them off they will just put you on the back burner. They could be like cooks you piss off and put special sauce in your food.

Just with like anything that has moving parts, check them from time to time and there shouldn't be that big of an issue. Nothing is perfect, heck ive had a few lug nuts get a lil loose on my truck over time but I don't call Ford freaking out. Just tighten the thing and move on.

This may be true, however your experience with this rifle and your mechanical knowledge of other guns makes you half the solution as well.

Your previous post nails it IMO...the XCR is fine AS A HOBBY GUN. Unfortunately the builder sees it as the next generation combat rifle that will replace the AR. That is absolutely nuts. If you use it as a plinker, it seems to USUALLY hold up OKAY.

That should be the end of the discussion right there...if you use a 6920 as a combat rifle, it WILL hold up WELL.

As I said on another board, if the only competition for the XCR was 1980s bushmasters, maybe it would seem pretty advanced. Today it already seems ten years too late. I salute robarms for trying to build something unique and better...they did okay on unique, but better? Christ no.

No twisted, I'm just tired of people trashing an object because of it's past quality issues, get over it, they've been addresed. Non issue. I'm tired of civilians trashing an object because the millitary doesn't use it, if your shooting un-armed paper who cares what the millitary uses. Has there been a side by side same shooter, same ammo, laboratory or field torture test comparing it to any other rifle on the planet? No, so how can it be proven inferior
to any other rifle? Is anyone complaining about the new xcr's? Not that I'm aware of.
I would love to see a side by side comparison torture test, unbiased obviously. Also as we've
reached well into the 20 pages mark, there's still a ton of xcr trashing but not a single example of a new xcr failing, why is that?

This is fair truth, ^^^

This is just f:P:

City kids, and people that use their rifles, that's quite apparently where much of the divide stems from with civilians. The Military's happy with the AR, glad to see some guys who've never used one outside a range are too  , and civis who do more than stare really, really tough at paper sillouttes get lambasted because non-restricted means nothing. I suppose it doesn't if all you like to is 'clear' the basement at mom's house or punch paper at a range just outside city limits.

The AR's great for the military. The XCR is great for civis and hunting. Keep sweeping that basement... the AR is definitely the gun you want when the potted plants attack. This is rich, let's keep it going. :) Maybe if we got the Chinese to build the XCR...? I really like the AR, great gun. And I really like the XCR, great gun with more use to Canadian civis. When people tell me that's stupid, vehemently, I can't help but laugh. The emotions make it even better.

50 calshooter: What ? Iam talking about the XCR YOU ARE FULL RETARD you and the likes of you anytime you see XCR you AR guys start to sh@t you pants out of anger it is you with the promlem not the XCR.

So range time, indoor and outdoor is errelevent? You shouldn't pass so much judgement on people you've never met. ;)

50 CALSHOOTER : Where will you take that to the range ? good for you go troll another tread Someone had a problem whith his XCR not ar.The way you guys hate ROB ARMS and the XCR you dont even own an XCR so why give advise about what you know nothing about .

I have ranges all around my city, indoor and outdoor. It's a blast.

Look, in all seriousness, If you new me on this board, you'd know Im not a troll. But, when you guys clame the XCR superior to the AR when clearly it isn't, someone has to speak up.

The AR has decades of development and evolution on the XCR, it's just that simple. If the XCR survives 50 years of development, then I'm sure it will be great one day, but as of right now, it's a decent sporter, nothing more...

Get over it already.

I think it is more of a #### measuring contest with some of these guys. Why else would a person feel the need to post a picture of their AR in this thread. My toy is better than your toy bla, bla, bla. Left that behind when I was a child.

Get over it already.

Now there is some advice. Take it.

I have nothing against the AR except the charge handle
and bolt release. Let's pretend every AR works absolutely perfect 100% of the time, well my xcr has performed flawlessly as well to date. I give my xcr the edge because if it's ergo's and nothing more. It has performed
lawlessly in deep sub zero temps, muddy, wet, sandy. Shoots 2.5 moa with irons. So how could an AR benifit ME???? price is the only benifit. I'd gladly take an AR and it's silly charge handle for half the price of an xcr, assuming we were in a logical country where both shared the non restricted status.
As someone stated before the charge handle is a non issue, pull it once..... Well who else's handle is there? Not the Swiss, or acr, scar, hk, or anyone elses because it's retarded.
To me they are both great guns and it's a shame the AR is restricted but if it wasn't price would be my deciding factor and nothing else.
