I need your impressions about the gsg-16

They run great so long as you feed them HV stuff.

I was gonna say, I bought one for my son, and it's been fed a ton of CCI quiets, and I don't think a single problem ftf or malfunction in probably 500 rounds. Epic run for any .22 actually.

Last time we had it out we noticed the plastic top rail came loose and the reddot sight was way off as a result. (I think the rifle actually came with a replacement plastic rail and hardware?).

It's now my goto coon gun, and I seem to have it in my hand more than he does.

Amen to all of the above. Just throwing in that it's eminently modifiable if you are into that. Lots you can do to it if you are inclined. The one I have is very accurate with the Dlask barrel and a Holosun red dot.

Wow! Great deal!

I bought one when Cabelas had them on for $479 and thought I was getting a great deal!

Took it out once since then and put a couple hundred rounds of CCI Blazer through it.

It was a blast! I added a front grip and a red dot sight just for kicks.

It was a solid shooter, it is heavy and feels well built. Had no malfunctions over the 200 rounds (with quite a bit of rapid fire in there!)

It's build quality level has a shelf life and users are getting close to the rifle's best before date as components and materials are slowly beginning to fail. The action and magazine feeding seems reliable at first, giving owners confidence, but it's overall build quality otherwise has an early expiration date due to its pot metal, toy grade plastics, and egregious take down field stripping/cleaning process.

Well said. I’ve got 16,000+ rounds through mine and the front sight set screw has fallen out, and I’ve had to replace the bolt carrier group since it ate itself. Not too bad. It’s a fun gun, and worth it for what it costs. But it’s basically airsoft grade, so you need to keep that in mind.

Edit to add: I've been waiting for 4+ months on the above replacement BCG from BlueLine as a warranty item. Now I'm told it's been shipped, but I have yet to receive it. It's nice that the gun is warrantied, but if you shoot this gun enough, it will eat itself quicker than most other better built guns. And you will have to wait for replacement parts. Some people have had better luck than others when dealing with BlueLine.

I'm now at 6000 rounds on my first GSG16 which is still going strong. I've torn it apart to mod it over 8 times now and everything is still tight and really accurate.

What other 22 rifle will you get modern fire control, locking last round, 22-24round mags, non-reciprocating cocking handle and massive customization? There is nothing else like it on the market

For a semi 22 6000 rounds is nothing more than a few days at the range for some. Mine imploded at about 10-12k rounds, couple months timeline.

Yet they look good.

They look good after sinking a bunch of money into them, but they don't feel nearly as good in hand. Nice cake to decorate, crap ingredients tho..

You got that right! And no lame 10 round mags either.

If you want to shoot say 12,000 rounds with say a Cooey 64, a Marlin 60 or a Kris Vector 22lr or other 10 round 22s you'll be loading for a long time:)
