Hey guys,

I recently purchased a Trijicon TA31RCO-M4 ACOG, and it just showed up today! Woohoo! I'm VERY impressed. I also puchased an ARMS 19LD dual throwlever mount to go along with it, because the factory dual thumbscrew mount isn't quite enough HSLD for me. Cheveron reticule, captive turrets, and a nicer killflash than the TA57 I bought for it! Came in a cool Coyote MOLLE pouch, which is currently attached to my new Tactical Tailor two-piece MAV. Don't worry, there's an ARMS #40L on the way.

Anyway, so it's sitting pretty on my 10.5" barrelled Armalite AR15. Here're some pics, along with my new Sig Sauer P220R w/ Steve Bedair Tungsten guide rod and SureFire X200B, as well as Meprolight Night Sights (Installed via help from agilent_one!).

I'm certainly impressed. I'll get her out to the range here on Saturday. Report to follow!

Tell me what you think! I last had the AR set up w/ EoTech 552 in conjunction with a LaRue EoTech Riser, and a LaRue BUIS. It was pretty cool, but hell, I've always wanted an ACOG! I can't afford to run two sets of optics, so the EoTech had to go, along with the nicest LT gear I've ever seen.

Oh, and the MAV w/ X-Harness is running two TT triple AR mag pouches, three double pistol mag pouches (4 Sig mags, a SureFire G2, and a Buck/Strider 889), a TT Vert. utility pouch (Currently holding 5 Chip McCormick 1911 10-rounders), a Maxpedition Rolly Polly, and the Trijicon ACOG padded pouch.

I find it to be a lot more comfortable to wear than my old Weesatch, which Smgcon now owns, but the bottoms of the MALICE clips are digging into my sides. Might have to shave them down a little bit.

My 1911 is currently at Smoking Gun FX, but she'll be done soon, and back onto the range! I'll post pics when she arrives back home.

Thanks,

Brad

Jamie:

I already had a Troy. Sold it to get the LaRue. ARMS 40's are just so much easier to get, and cheaper to boot, so I'm just going to get one of those.

Thanks for the compliments,

Brad

Pave,

Nice rig. How do you like the sling set-up?
I've been running Chip McCormick mags for some time now, first for a 1911 and now for my Sig P220. They're the best, you won't go back to any other.

Money is always a problem, especially when working for $8.75 an hour.

Of course, all of my money goes into guns, gear, knives, flashlights, and mags, with nothing else to pay for. I'm at the miracle age where I don't have a full license yet, so no gas or insurance to pay, and I'm still living at home going K-12, so all of my income is disposable.

And thank you, Bruder, I think it's pretty neat too.

Nice parts thats for sure but why would you go TA31RCO-M4 ACOG on a 10' barrel?

I really dont think that 4x magnification is good at all on a CQB AR , sure its great at the range but a Aimpoint,Eo or the Tripower is a better choice to sit on that nice house clearing AR.
