Bear in mind my SKS was a cheap beater, thus I'm willing to do things to it I wouldn't to a nicer one, but I sort of built my own mount. I was given a busted reciever cover mount, I used the upper mount that holds the scope and built my own plate that attaches to the reciever on studs. The upper mount then bolts onto that. I can take the reciever apart without disturbing a single piece of the scope setup if I wish. Anyone with any sort of fabrication skills should have no problem with a task like this
