I use J&P adapters with Burris Sign. rings and VX2 6-18X40 AO on my Silhouette. The set up works fine and provides extra barrel clearance while using 40 mm AO scopes. In the future I will opt for Burris Signature Rimfire & Airgun Rings in med. (420554) that work with 11MM rail and therefore no need for adaptors. They fit well with 40 mm AO Leupold scopes, I am just not sure if they will clear your Varmint barrel (you would have to do the math). I would try to avoid adaptors or rails if possible.
If you want J and P products, you can order directly from them. they ship to Canada and are very nice people. Find their adds on rimfirecentral forum.

I didn't see where the chambering was listed for the OP's 452 Varmint...
The LR model has an 11mm rail, the WMR and HMR have a 3/8" rail.
I use both, the DIP rail and Leupold Rings on mine;
I updated my first post, I will be using a 1 inch Redfield Revolution 3-9X40 scope...
Your 30mm Vortex rings are made for 11mm dovetail ?
I never used Leupold rings but its Leupold so it have to be good.
I have several Burris rings, mostly Zee rings Signature and they are well made.
Where did you bought your CZ rings ?
Seems well made but looks high... What the objective diameter on your scope ?

Hoyt,
I'd like to copy that same setup on my CZ 452 Trainer so I can use the iron sights as well.
Got a part number for those Leupold QD's?
Thanks.
PS..is the top one a Trainer or Ultra?
Awesome pics and scope setups guys !
The DIP rail is very nice and I like it because its low. I just don't like those set-screws on the receiver.
Never had mine make really bad on one cz there was a tiny mark form the screw. You only tighten them to 5 inch pounds. Mine all fit really tight as well had to rubber hammer them in place lol. Haven't taken the rails off those 2 pictured so no idea what its like under them but I highly doubt any significant marks. The one on the hmr hasn't moved in 2 years or so I have had it and the 22lr hasn't moved in a year or so that I have had it
