I would like a 22

Is a Single Action Army clone in 22 worth having with the monotonous constant ejection of shells one by one. SAA is a classic, but would a Ruger Mk IV be a better plinker?

Revolvers will slow down your rate of fire, but increase your rate of cleaning up spent shells..... :)

And if you have a CZ 75/85, a CZ Kadet Kit is also a good option. 1 pistol, 2 calibers. Antreg Zenith and Orion kits are also recommended. The only difference between the Kadet kit and Antreg kit is the magazine. Metal for the Kadet and Polymer for the Antreg. Both might need minor fittings that is doable with basic tools. Just beware if you are not mechanically capable as you will just render the kit as a very expensive paperweight.

I got a Buckmark Gold Target and I see no need to get another semi auto 22 pistol. Had a couple 22 LR kits ( 1911s, Glock, AR15 ) and didn't find they worked as well as a dedicated 22. Now I wouldn't mind getting a revolver of some sort. I had a low power scoped single six that I used to shoot plates at 100M.

Fun but slow to reload. So looking at a revolver with a swing out cylinder.

25M

100M

Yup had the Buckmark out last week, and picking up casing 20feet away. Looking for the brass deflector that was available, so I don't need to chase as much.

I have the Glock 17, 9mm.
I just recently purchased a Glock 44 as i was looking for a 22lr pistol and glad i waited. Love the G44. Nice piece and fun to shoot. I have my boys shooting it and both love it too.
GSG was one of my choices, however i love the Glocks. Next is a 10mm😊

Ruger Mark IV 22/45. Couple of upgrades will need to be installed from Tandemkross and Volquartsen but will be a lot of fun after.

It depends on how much you think you are going to shoot. If you are going to shoot 100 rounds a week (20 minutes for 100 shots) that might be 5000 rounds a year. That's around $500 in ammo per year.

I consolidated and settled on a SW 617 revolver and the SW Model 41 Semi. As you shoot more 22 LR you will naturally want to go for accuracy and these 2 can't be beat (unless you are going for Olympic style pistols). The resale is high as well. These 2 are really fun to shoot and are more accurate than I am (so far :) .

So I wouldn't worry about the up front cost of the gun since feeding the beast dwarfs the depreciation on the initial cost.

Buy a good High Standard, you will never regret it!! Best trigger, and amazingly accurate. We are seeing a few more showing up at our club. I own two.

I looked at a few options last year and settled on a Beretta 92FS .22. It's the same size and has the same controls as the 9mm and so far I've been through over 500 rounds of a mix of ammo. CCI mini mags, Federal bulk and cheap Herter's bulk ammo and it eats it all without a hiccup. It's not a high end target pistol but for fun plinking with something that replicates the size and feel of a 9mm service pistol it can'y be beat.

I had one of theese too it was flawless
I've been running an Advantage Arms kit on a G19 for about 3 years now and like you say, flawless. I use it for speed steel and Tac Pistol events that allow .22 rimfire, and it's a great setup to start new shooters on, light and accurate. It's been so dependable that I can't bring myself to buy the new Glock 44

Mine is good... up to the 200rds mark, then it needs a quick wipe down.

Are you 12(6) ?
