I would like to know what your absolute favorite firearm you own is.

Favorite rifle

Hands down my Ruger M77 30-06. Birthday present from my dad when I was 17 (1982). It is definately one I take out just to clean and oil and of course to hold. Darn right accurate despite what others may have experienced with a Ruger.

No question, my Remington 760 .270 pump. I shoot my others a lot more than it but this one is THE deer gun. I can't think of another rifle I'd rather take into the bush for deer, its a timeless classic.

My 12 ga 870 supermag. This gun has dropped ducks, geese, grouse and deer. It was primarily used for waterfowling until I got my Beretta. This poor gun has had the snot beat out of it six ways from sunday and still comes back for more! And at the end of the day if my motor quits, I can use it to paddle home!

Hands down it's my Winchester Model 12. I'm a shotgun guy. I love them to death. And my Model 12 swings like no other.

I've had some nice ones in the past.....

Probably the one I regret selling the most is a Bill Leeper built .284Win on a M70 action in a Bansner stock....a fellow CGN'er takes care of it now....

My NEW favorite....havent even shot it now that its complete but its taken me a year to complete.....

Rem 700 LVSF in 7-08AI...

My 280AI built on a P-hale action (mauser98).....Right now:D

But I think the 8X63 camk is building is going to give it a run for it's money on first place:dancingbanana:

That stock mesmerizes me:cool:

Russ...

BTW....the 280 was built by camk also:D

I can't seem to choose one favourite, b/c everytime I pick up a "new" old Winchester, it becomes my favourite. I'd say it comes down to one of these three though:

1. Winchester 1895 Flatside, 30-40Krag, with Pistol Grip, ShotgunButt, and 22" barrel, shipped July 10, 1897:

2. Winchester 1894 38-55 with octagon barrel, date of manufacture 1908 (this one actually looks better in real life, must be the lighting) :

3. Winchester 94 30WCF Saddle Ring Carbine, made in 1921, a real beauty! :

Sorry for all the pics, but I can't pick just one favourite. There's something I really like about each one of them. Each one has a distinct feel when you put it up, I especially like the feel of the 1895 and the little SRC. I'm the same way with women...love them all too! :D

I think this is why we're called "GunNutz"!

My favourite is my brno model 602 in a .378 wthby. it has stamped on the barrel "custom conversion for d.g. nunn", richie gunsmiths transvall florida, republic of south africa". it is 1972 vintage, bought it at a gun show. It's that one that I just can't sell.

Favorite gun

I'd say my Remington 700 "Mountain Rifle" .280 Rem I bought back in '86. Only killed about 8 deer with it before buying a new stainles/synthetic 700 7m/m mag in '98 which became my "hot rifle". Had the .280 so long now is main reason for being a favorite, very accurate also. Plan to use it as my "carry around" rifle this September in western Alberta.
Cheers

300 H&h !

My favorite is my Remington Classic in 300 H&H . I had the trigger done and put her in an HS Precision stock . Alas the poor girl is shot out :( . Time to put a new barrel on her . My newer favorite is a Remington Model 7 CDL in 350 Rem Mag . Shoots a 250 speer just over an inch at 100 yds at 2450 fps . I haven't shot anything with it yet but its short and handles like a dream . I will be trying her out on spring bear in a month .
