Ideal Muzzle Break for M305

A little bit of playing around in the garage today:

And its on. Looks pretty good. Just need to fabricate a front post sight to go on one of the threaded holes in the top of the brake.

Not happy with the headspacing though. It's .014 over the 308 1.630 go gauge. That's right at the limit of a field gauge.

edit: I see from Lazuras's sticky post above, that this is common.
Nothing but surplus or reloading to 7.62 for you but oh well.
As for the front post sight. Why not put it on your gas system like M14doctor does?

It would make for a nice little gun for pushing bush for deer after I figure out my front sight options. I don't want any optics on it, to keep it simple. I have another one that is scoped. Some of my IVI 7.62 brass and either 150gr or 165 hunting bullets is what I'll test it with.

Mounted a spare Norinco front sight, using a 6-40 screw that I made into a dovetail to match the sight base. Worked really well at the range today. Pretty much just a light push back, no muzzle jump.

Finally SEI shipped out the shipment of Coast Guard Brake, hopefully we will have them within a month. We also got their gas plug, castle nut adapter and other goodies.
