Ideas for Dominion Arms

How about dedicated semi PKm's ? Don't they make those in China? That could be fun, 5rd belts, and you could shoot 7.62x54R, or maybe they could be chambered for .308, I think one country made such a conversion for Western militaries.

china made a semi-only pkm clone in .308 for a western military? somehow that seems, for lack of a better term, Ridiculous.
 
Alright, I search through the thread and don't think this has been suggested.

20 Gauge version of the 1887, or some other style of lever action 20 gauge shotgun. As far as I know, nobody makes one. I know of a couple of people that would love to get one, but can't since they don't exist.

If someone already suggested this, then I apologise for the repeat.
 
^A Canadian made adapter that allows you to mount an M7 bayonet on your sks, after removing the original spike / blade bayonet. It would be very solid and completely reversible, sort of like the way a bayonet mounts on a Remington 870 or an SMLE. My $.02 :)

The ring would have to have a spacer as well.
 
What about a 40mm launcher? Small market of course but if sold for half of the ridiculous price of 37 and 40mm launchers already available they might move...?
 
Here's what I'm thinking, a under barrel shotgun for the Tavor, looking and operating kind of like the Grenade launcher.

Like almost every other semi-auto MG on the market ;)? Well heck, i need an engineering Co-op job next summer. I've learned a lot about open to closed conversions from my M53 sarac project, i'd be open to working on this.
 
While there are a few good suggestions in this thread most are non starters and the fact that Canada Ammo is not interested in the good suggestions suggests to me that this thread is a waste of time.... too bad because it has/had some potential.

Yes, im not quite sure what limits their investments... The dominion arms shotguns would leave to me to think they are primarily interested in bringing in low cost, simple goods, simply because they will sell out no problem. BUT then theres the tavor, a very expensive, much more complex rifle. However CanAm have already proved to themselves that they can successfully market a relatively more expensive rifle. Granted they did not manufacture the tavor (i don't think?)

Which leads me to think it's something on the manufacturing side ...? ex: they'll manufacture cheap guns, they'll purchase expensive guns to resell (likely in shipments much less than they do so for the dominion arms shotguns).
Maybe they are not willing to risk investing in a Large shipment of expensive-to-produce guns? I think they could be marketed, but then again, it is not my money that is being played with (especially by the rcmp and their approval process).

If it is about designs not existing, i think there are people on this board more qualified than me willing to help or donate their time. I'd help out for the sake of having something to do in the firearms industry!
 
The Tavor is Israeli made, they imported and sold a civilian legal version of it.
IIRC They had a pre-order for it, so if they only had one pre-order they probably wouldn't of imported it.
The Dominion Arms shotguns are Chinese made, Canada Ammo is not manufacturing them, they are importing them the same as the tavor. Pretty obvious they'll sell fast.

AFAIK
The Chinese cannot manufacture what they don't have the tooling(and blueprints) for. 870 type shotguns, they do. Type 97s, they do. SKS And AK47s, they do.
And apparently, they have the machining for M1 Carbines?? I read that somewhere on the forum.

I'd just like their web store to have items in stock again. It looks like most firearms are either out of stock or special order.
