IDF M14 Completed Rifles Picture and Range Report Thread

The only ex-IDF parts on this build are the stock, Nimrod scope, and scope mount. Rest is all Norinco. Went to the range to sight it in, and it printed 1/4" off the bulls eye. Have to love that. Still need to bed it properly, etc, but am getting 1.5" groups as is.

Looks Great!! I had a heel done at Vulcan as well, good price and great work!

Thanks! I agree I'm very pleased with everything I had done I must say! You hear so many horror stories these days it's great to know who to go to when your looking for a quality job. I'd show off the great bedding job John(M14Medic) did too but I don't want to pop the stock off again yet to take a picture. It's flawless though!

IMG_9729.jpgIMG_9728.jpgIMG_9754.jpgThis is mine built by John(m14medic). Great thank to John for building this awesome rifle. Used LRB barreled action + IDF parts. Welded gas system and bedding. It's sad I don't have a time to take it to outdoor range, only tested at 40yard indoor range. Still good enough for me. Tried 3 different handload. My shooting skill is bad. I still squeeze my shoulder sometimes when I pull the trigger. I think this rifle can do better if I do my part

That is one great looking build and hey even tho its only 40 yards those are still pretty sweet groups! Congrats on the rifle!

My M25 Build

Here's my LRB M25 build. Truthfully, the only IDF parts are the bolt, and the trigger group minus the hammer and trigger that are shooting sight.
Barrel is criterion non chrome. Wood is from Boyd's, the rest of the hardware is from Treeline. Rear site is SA National Match that required milling a hole for the spring and ball in the receiver. The four targets are the last 20 rounds out of her, first 10 were not as good. Unfortunately, they were shot at 50yds, so I will need to get it outside to see what it is really capable of.

The m14 medic built it for me
-H&R barrel cut down to 18.6 re-crowned and added that nifty flash hider/muzzle break
-has system unitized
-fluted oprod spring guide
-it’s built on a dominion/norinco receiver from a socom 18
-glass bedded in a Boyd’s deluxe walnut stock
-casm m14.ca scope base with atrs rings
-scope is a uso 1-8 power scope 8c model
-Bradley cheek rest
-Specter m14 sling
Lots of man hours I got the full meal deal I’d have to check the bill I believe the bolt is lapped as well

Here's my 3rd. and most likely last IDF build.
M1A 001.jpg

The receiver is a 2012 Norc, so it's not as nice as my LRBs, but compared to some of the pics I've seen of Norcs, it's quite nice for a Chicom. It passed M14 Medic's inspection procedure, the bolt rides nicely and the USGI rear sight fits well.

Bolt and trigger group are TRW, barrel and op-rod are HR. I put 35 rounds through it without any issues. The target was shot at 50yds, and is as good as I could shoot with any iron sights.

Regards, Tom

Anyone know if treeline is still shipping to Canada? I called them a couple days ago, but have not heard anything back. Online ordering does not work.
