IDF M14 parts kits picture thread!

I got my HB kit the other day and it was like Christmas. Stripping and cleaning it was actually a lot of fun.

I'm having trouble with the idea of pairing a Chinese receiver with a US made kit. It seems kind of like sacrilege. Don't get me wrong, I have 2 poly/norc rifles that have been great and allowed me the opportunity to learn about this phenomenal platform. I don't know if it's a respect thing (as weird as that sounds) or I'm just plain crazy, but i think i might try an lrb receiver with with this one.

You are not the only one. I purchased a LRB M25 for my HB kit. I recieved it just the other day from wolverine.

Before I get to my project, I have a customers LRB reciever to do, and by the look of my email inbox there at least 2 more on their way here......

It's not really all that funny, but it's funny, customers always get their projects done before my own! lol

Headed out to the range with mine today. Didn't check headspace, made sure a round would chamber fully and went for it...
Brought some Hirtenberger surplus, fired 6 shots at 50yards and took a peak at the target. Was pleasently surprised for something that had just been slapped together.

Dialed 12 clicks up and hammered the gong at 100 yards with ease. Love that LRB/IDF mix.

We aren't going to get original Saco-Lowell barrels in Canada again, so I'm not surprised they sold that fast. Likely a cancelled order offered these up.

Just placed my order for my LRB reciever to screw onto my heavy barrel kit, and drop into a fiberglass USGI stock! Super excited!

Had mine done for a few weeks now. She is a standard barrel package put onto a nice period Walnut stock and equipped with an LRB Receiver. Also added a period correct 1959 sling. Put together by M14Medic. Thought I would include my Vietnam War era MP helmet.

I have a chance to pick up a heavy barrel IDF kit that appears to be matching HR components.
What is such a kit worth?
What would it be worth assembled in norc 2007 receiver?
