Got my kit today and am super happy with it! And its awesome to say that it is mostly H&R!!

Break down :

Barrel : H&R
Op rod : H&R
Gas Tube : H&R
Trigger Housing : H&R
Safety : H&R
Rear Sight Base : H&R
Windage Knob : WCE
Elevation Drum : WCE
Bolt : TRW
Hammer : TRW.

This will make so a sweet rifle, The pic I posted earlier was of another completed H&R build, Its going to be awesome to have 2 H&R's!!

On an interesting side note, of the Israeli electro penciled #'s only a few match each other. I will be up for doing trades on the TRW parts for H&R parts in a few weeks.

Kit came in today!! Boy was I a ball of nerves waiting for it, never know what it's going to have or shape it will be in. Stock is very nice and will not be touched. Heavy kit General dynamics barrel hrt bolt trw trigger group sa op rod. The barrel looks new!! Clean sharp rifling!! I am lucky and very happy!! These kits sold out right away, by the time I got ahold of sales they where gone. I purchased a std kit then got a call back someone canceled there order so I got it!! What luck. LRB receiver for this one.

Got a complete H and R setup. Barrel, bolt, trigger assembly, rear sight base and op rod. No markings on gas assembly.

Barrel looks good. How do H&R barrels stand up accuracy wise?

You can say that again.

I don't think I have seen you since back then at the Bingo Hall Gun shows.

I still hang out with an old buddy of yours I think, Ron D from Toronto.

I used to wade through 45 gallon drums of M-14 surplus parts at Camp Perry on commercial row.

In particular, a U.S. Veteran from the Vietnam War that I knew had a setup on commercial row with hundreds of stocks and drums of parts.

His wife, a Vietnam War Bride did all the deals.

Man, I feel OLD now!

Thanks John @ m14medic.ca, great work and information.

I only bought one, but you have my wheels spinning again.

The bingo hall gun shows, I take it your referring to the shows that used to be on Jane street back in the day? Seems just like yesterday. That's were I bought my first M14.

Yes Sir, that was the place to be.

That gun show and these M-14's are like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get.

Mine arrived today:

SAK medium barrel 09-83 and stamped NM on the top of barrel before the front sight
HRA op-rod
TRW bolt
Winchester trigger housing with TRW hammer

All main components seem to be electro penciled with matching 3 digit numbers

Stinkin mint shape

So I have one SAK barrel and one I can't find numbers on. Both are the heavy barrel kits. One with a trw bolt and op rod, the other I have to go look up the numbers. Some HR trigger parts.

These sure are great kits! All parts are in very good condition and are suitable for reparkarization:

Springfield Armory Hammer & Safety
HRA Trigger Housing
Springfield Armory Rear Sight
Springfield Armory Gas Assembly
Springfield Armory Walnut Stock With Hardware

Having now seen these in person, I wouldn't be as concerned keeping the parts sorted by their electro penciling given that some parts have more than one number on them. I bought a few kits hoping to get the specific parts I'm looking for to use in a future Springfield Armory build, and ended up being able to put together one each of almost entirely matching HRA, Springfield Armory, and Winchester parts kits which are listed on the E.E. now at my cost. I'm hopeful I can sell these quickly enough to pick up another handful of kits to restart the process.

the stock is a butchered pile of crap. worst one i have seen yet. deep gouges every where. has had a repair near the serial number and i thinl the end that goes to the gas tube has been "glued" back together.

this gun must have fallen on the floor and got mixed up with other kits. only two parts that match are the bolt and op rod. i doubt any of these pieces knew each other before getting tossed in the same bag. at least the barrel looks great and the parts appear serviceable.

just noticed that the barrel was clamped in a vise on the gas block and then on the barrel itself farther down.... oh well

One of your parts kits came with a walnut stock?

Another missing rear sight code for the windage knob; Wright

You might consider a "none" category for trigger parts and sight codes as well - unmarked small parts are common.

I added those in, Thanks,
