Any one got experience with the RSR defense plastic holsters?
DO YOU KNOW IF the RSR Defense holsters are "LEGAL" for IDPA?
I just picked up a set of RSR gear off Ebay, direct from Israel, for my Glock 22, and am thinking about shooting a few local practical matches, and maybe crossing the moat and shooting a few IDPA events.
I special ordered the belt loops instead of the default paddles If you don't specify [ and maybe even if you do specify ] they send you the paddle attachments.
The RSR stuff, on initial inspection, seems very practical/tactical.
Quite a bit better designed and executed than the FOBUS holsters and pouches, the roto mechanism and mag retention adjustments are considerable improvements over Fobus. The RSR comes with little adjustable blocks, to fit exactly whatever belt width you use.
The retention mechanism seems close to the Serpa CQB, but a bit better protected by cast in ridges around the go button. It also seems to release a LOT more consistently, naturally, and smoother for me than the SERPA CQB setup. I was 100% at releasing with the Serpa only when using it straight up, directly at the side, and the RSR is definitely more consistent for me from behind the hip.
So far I like this kit ... but ask me again after I shoot a match with it.
of course,
as with any opinion offered for free on the intertnet,
