IDPA PCC classifier scores

That's 2 different methods (not counting PCC), both are valid. The abbreviated shoots 4 strings instead of 8 with 25 rounds instead of 72. Both can be used to give a shooter a classification.

Yes, I'm aware of the standard or abbreviated methods. But the link has three options, with different dates. For example, if you follow the link I provided, you get results like this:

Standard method: Master PCC 45.00 or less (effective as of Dec 1, 2018)
Abbreviated method: Master PCC 11.35 or less (effective as of Dec 1, 2018)
PCC classifier: Master 56.00 or less (effective as of January 1, 2018)

The last one appears to be applied when uploading the scores.

OK here is the answer. I just got off the phone from HQ.

1. If you shoot the 72 Round Classifier with your PCC you use.45 Seconds for Master
2. If you use the 5 X 5 25 round Classifier with your PCC you use 11.35 for Master
3. If you use the PCC Classifier ( that is the one with the Black Stripes on the targets you use 56 or less.

You will find the various Classifiers further down the page where you hit "Downloads"
PM me your phone number and I will phone you if you have any questions or want me to walk you through the page. Basically there are three different ways yo can qualify you PCC.

Here you will find the instructions for uploading Classification scores. Note you will find three different PCC Classifiers listed where you choose which one you used. The system will use the data correctly based on your indication of the type of classifier you shot.

Yes that makes sense now. I didn't realize the first option was for the standard long form 72 round classifier. Makes me wonder why, though, since they introduced a specific 54 round version for PCC.

HQ apparently is satisfied each form used will bring you to the same place ie your classification will be the same using the published scale. I am sure, for most it will.

Having been part of all of these various classifier processes at one time or another over the years, I don't doubt that. But its unnecessary complexity, imho.
