..... Personally I'm well and truly Retired, but I never felt undergunned with the issued 5" model 10 revolver or the 2" version I was issued for years before transitioning to the 9mm S&W. .... Now I'm too old and cranky to bother, and don't go anywhere "sketchy"! Besides which, my constant companion is a 90 lb German Shepherd Dog with a very limited sense of humour, unless you're a little kid with a ball or a "squeaky toy" to throw! And he's got teeth that'd make the swimming star from Jaws green with envy! LOL!! ....... David K

It's light, controlable, penetrates, and is simple and easy to operate for its small size.

Add to that it's fun and cheap to shoot, also good for practical pest removal or close range animal dispatch.

I believe my original answer was a Glock 48, but after competing in IDPA matches, I've changed that to a S&W SD9VE.

I shoot it more accurately, and accomplish mag changes faster. And the trigger pull isn't all that bad.

HK45 or Glock 19, depending on how bulky my clothes are. If magazine capacity wasn't an issue, then Glock 19 with a couple of spare G17 mags every day. With enough rounds available, even I should be able to hit something
