If I wanted to get a standard, run of the mill, military issue M4 Rifle ...

If we drift back to the OP's original question - What is the most value-priced "M4 style" rifle available at retail in Canada that is NOT of Chinese origin?

Probably it will be the NEA M4-gery for under $1000 when it eventually gets to retail, but for now - what is the value king?

I'd say big value for the money is going to be the STAG M4gery 16". Lots of good stuff there, plus the customer support via AE is just the icing on the cake.

If we're talking guns we have (in stock), but can't sell commercially, the Stag Arms G2 LE 14.5" is the closest to Colt USA 6921 than any other gun in Canada that is not a Colt 6921. The difference between the two would be that Colt drifts the taper pin from the left, and Stag drifts the taper pin in from the right. LE sale only at the moment, unfortunately.

The Special Production for AEI 10.3" Stag G1 Mk18 Profile, are also the closest to the M4LE Mk18 guns sold in Canada. Also available for LE.

The standard production Stag Arms G1 is the mirror of the Colt Commando 11.5".

If we're talking guns we have in stock and CAN sell, the Stag Arms G3 LE, 16". A 4150 1/7 CMV M4 Profile bbl, tastefully customized for Canadian export. Sold as the Model 1 & 2 Govt Editions. We ship it with a Phantom Compensator, which is a upgrade to a standard A2 flash hider.

To keep going, Colt doesn't offer a 20 LE gun at the moment, but it does have the R0901 M16A4 in the Defense Line.

Stag Arms Model G4 LE AKA 4R Govt Edition.

I am familiar with Colt LE lineup, and am familiar with CMT/Stag Arms LE lineup, I have seen the other likely candidates. Assuming the 1/7 barrel, in material and fabrication and configuration the Colt LE and Stag LE guns are indistinguishable, but I still think Stags are 'prettier'. If you really want to split hairs, the 'big pin' FCG pins on many of the Colt LE kinda disqualify it from being 'as close'. :p

Stag/CMT cut parts are authorized in US DOD M4 production.

It's not a stretch of an answer to say that Stag's lineup most mirrors Colts. Particularly for international markets.

I don't know why anyone would choose between the 6940 & 6920 anyway?:D
BTW, yes, 14.5 barrels, and no, they ain't photoshopped. All Colt, 'cept the glass and mag of course. Oh ya, and the one PRI handle.

I see it has my Specter on it.

The EE isn't typically new or retail ;)

Nope, but if someone is starting to look, and get an idea of what's available, there they are. And here in Canada, and quite a bit of variants.

I don't think I've bought more than 2 technically new guns in 35 years. The other 300-400 have been used, to varying degrees, including the Colt gun and upper in the photos above.

All the baby killing, 7-11 robbing, school massacre, nare-do-well features a guy could want.;)

I didn't put this kit in a huge safe to keep others away, I lock it in a big safe so it doesn't get out on it's own, and wreak havoc.:D

LOL! :D

I see it does! Bayonet lug and all!

Please think of the children! ;)

I fully agree and often take this approach myself, however, the EE is hardly a consistent or reliable source. On any given day they may or may not have what you are looking for, the price may or may not be above or below retail, etc.

If this thread is to be useful beyond today, it would help to discuss who is selling what brands and at what price point in Canada.
