Question;
The MP5 Carbine (and variants) is listed as prohib under the rifles and carbines list of named prohibs.
....it however is not listed under the pistols section.
With this new announcement, have they not just announced a pistol version of the MP5?
Since only the Carbine/Rifle version is a named prohib, and not the pistol, does this leave any room for leverage?
Or is the pistol of an MP5 considered prohib automatically as a "variant" of the rifle/carbine named prohib?
The Skorpion pops to mind as a similar case, but I realize "one came before the other" in the case of the Skorpion.
Note: I know Germany is classifying two new MP5 versions as pistols, do our laws see them as rifles/carbines still and not as pistols the way Germany (where they are manufactured) does?
....I love how complicated our laws makes this conversion.
I appreciate everyones feedback and fully acknowledge i'm just spitting at the wall, I in no way assume we will ever see one of these....
