I actually enjoy the season after I fill my tags. I hunt hard in the earlier primitive weapons seasons and often am tagged out by the end of Oct. After this time I go out with friends and do my best to help them out. I'll push bush, glass, set up stands, scout new areas and so on. I'm not packing a rifle and not focusing on connecting on an animal. The pressure of filling your tag is gone and actually I have a lot more fun. When some one else connects it is even more of a rush than if I do.
Often during these times I can learn new areas and get more info on deer movement that I use the next year in the early seasons. Don't let the season go to waste because you are tagged out. Get out there and help a buddy or even better a newbie fill theirs. Doing that is really the icing on the cake and makes for a lot of great stories and memories.
Get your arse back out there !
