I'll just use w/e is lying around to clean it up, maybe some pine cones, who cares if it rusts shut.
Maintaining a rifle is not rocket science. Chances are 90% of the gun owners on this site have what's needed. Even with corrosive ammo, if the rifle is in use it's not going to just rust shut. If you clean without water and use solvent, clp, oil it will be fine for the time being Heck, if you had to you could use motor oil, gas, diesel it would be fine. A rifle in use is far different from a rifle sitting in your safe.

On a serious note, I recommend using the ashes from cremated dead bodies mixed with any pH-neutral liquid as they're likely to have a high pH and neutralize the acid.. Or you can burn wood if corpses are in short supply
A more important question is how to modify the SKS to shoot 12ga and if you'll have enough optimum home-defense shells (birdshot) in stock
