MkIII 22/45, LOVE this gun, have several others, but this one comes with me every time. NO THEY ARE NOT THAT HARD TO TAKE DOWN. Accurate, reliable, long lasting FUN !
could be they never tore them down fully that often...due to the PITA it can be.While I agree that the MkII can be somewhat of pain to put back together, I never heard of one having worn pin holes... Heck, we had an older shooter in our club bullseye league shooting a Mk1/target sight. Shot it once or twice a week on score, for a few decades, and except for blue wear and bumps and bruise it wasn't any better or worse then a new Mk2
