I'l be starting up the dehydrator in a week or two when the vegies start getting ready. Vacume packed they take up little room and don't weigh nuthin. Got a sourdough biscuit recipe around somewhere too. A few pieces of deer sausage still left too. Using the right herbs and spices along with the dehydrated vegies and you can create just about any soup or stew you want. Steam up some mushroom, pepper and onion with a hair of basil or tyme to add to a skillet full of grouse brest for a saute. Some dried sliced taters done the same way either mashed or pan fried or some rice and you aint doing to bad.
Fits in ziplock bags and acompanies any game meat you encounter or can stand alone. Easy to carry![]()
I have been told you take lean ground beef(moose would be better) cook it, drain all the fat, then dehydrate the hell out ouf it, throw it in a pan with some water. and voila, you have real chili out in the bush.
You took the moose from the bush and now you have brought it back...
