If you could only take one type of food....

I find this thread quite funny. Shows how many folks could actually live out of a back pack for more than a few measly days without a cooler full of steaks and beer.

I've almost done this. I've gone several days at a time with nothing but a cooler full of burger patties and my little propane BBQ. My buddy brought everything right up to and including fishsticks :)D) to cook over the fire, but ended up chowing down on my burgers. I really never do get sick of them. Now the question should be what type of burger groups best, and what BBQ shoots them the best. :p

A hard to the core outdoors man right there....

Nice to see though, explains why all the campgrounds are full and the "REAL" back country is empty. I like it that way :D

Magic mushrooms! That deer you shot, gutted and hung up usually turns out to be your hunting partner when you finally come down. OOPS!

Seriously though i could live off beans for a month:)

Well you chow down on a can of dogfood, and I'll enjoy my Alberta beef in one way, shape or form. :p

If you want to cover the most ground ide suggest the meth :p

BUT, really.. BEER, 110+cals/bottle, that'll keep you going!

Ide have to say some sort of sandwich because you could get all the nutrients via the toppings. :D

I'l be starting up the dehydrator in a week or two when the vegies start getting ready. Vacume packed they take up little room and don't weigh nuthin. Got a sourdough biscuit recipe around somewhere too. A few pieces of deer sausage still left too. Using the right herbs and spices along with the dehydrated vegies and you can create just about any soup or stew you want. Steam up some mushroom, pepper and onion with a hair of basil or tyme to add to a skillet full of grouse brest for a saute. Some dried sliced taters done the same way either mashed or pan fried or some rice and you aint doing to bad.
Fits in ziplock bags and acompanies any game meat you encounter or can stand alone. Easy to carry;)
