If you don't already own a grizzly mag shotgun, go buy one from CanAm.. I got the 15' one today and it is sweet. They got it to me in nine business days...

Thanks CanAm! I (and my money) is with you until the end on the T97 issue.

:)

I got mine yesterday and couldn't be happier. I also bought the front screw cap mini rail to hold my red dot, and everything works great.

My mail lady brought it to the door and said: "It's a nice day out, you should be out using it!" I was surprised, until I noticed the sneaky 'GOLF PRO' sticker on the end of the box. lol I was tempted to show her what it really was! :)

That's funny, mine had the same sticker on it. What a great we to be discrete though!!:D

The 15 feels really short already... I actually don't think I'd want it shorter (and I'm not just saying that because I own a 15 lol)... I'm doing an S&J conversion to it.. similar to Sniper1's.. he has pics of his sweet build in CGN's shotgun forum.

Waiting for the 12.5s.... then Ill have my name on 2 of them..

Did anyone ever hear back about if the 15" with the included PG mounted is restricted or not?

I just measured it, and it comes up pretty short.. 23' OAL...I think that would make it a no-no.. Check out badboybeeson / S&J hardware for some sweet AR/870 solutions.

"prohibited firearm" means

(a) a handgun that
(i) has a barrel equal to or less than 105 mm in length, or
(ii) is designed or adapted to discharge a 25 or 32 calibre cartridge,

but does not include any such handgun that is prescribed, where the handgun is for use in international sporting competitions governed by the rules of the International Shooting Union,

(b) a firearm that is adapted from a rifle or shotgun, whether by sawing, cutting or any other alteration, and that, as so adapted,
(i) is less than 660 mm in length, or
(ii) is 660 mm or greater in length and has a barrel less than 457 mm in length,

Interesting that with such clear wording a judge would rule in that way if it came in under 660mm with the pistol grip. Any idea if the ruling is available to read online? I'd be interested in the justices comments, perhaps there are other interesting things in it.

The wording pertains to "sawing off", not changing parts. Otherwise simply removing the stock would be illegal. There was a CFC letter floating around here on the subject.

Thank you for your telephone call today with regard to the legal classification of the Remington 870 shotgun and the MCS system, ################################################xx ################################################xx ############. Short barreled pump action shotguns with folding stocks are controlled within the Criminal Code of Canada, and it specifically details that the firearm is reduced to a length of less than 660 mm by means of folding, telescoping or otherwise. The otherwise does not take into consideration replacement with commercially available stocks such as a pistol grip stocks. Thus it is very legal and does not change the class of a non semi automatic firearm if you put a manufactured short barrel and pistol grip on the gun.

Not a judges ruling but still.
Course it would have been nice to have left the managers name on the letter.
