If you had $10,000.............................?

I do have 10k but don't have a hard on for a rifle to spend it on. Only two - ok three but one's an heirloom - rifles in my cabinet these days and always reach for the same one. (As compared to 20+ side x side shotguns). If I somehow 'had' to spend 10,000 on a rifle, then for the type of hunting I do would be talking to Kirby. http://www.vintagedoubles.com/gimg.php?gun=3924

Weatherby Mark V - Krieger Custom Rifle

in 300 Weatherby Magnum

with the left over money i would buy Redding competition dies, Lapua brass, Federal Gold Metal Match primers, and IMR 8133 powder ... and of course ... Nosler AccuBond or Partition bullets

Put it toward a hunt of a lifetime in he Yukon or Alaska for big moose ...

I was thinking the same, however have you viewed the prices for that hunt?......$23,000 to $27,000 US currency, OUTRAGEOUS!!! I've had many great moose hunts in Alberta, and here I will stay.

Yikes that's expensive!!! Well looks like Moose hunting in Northern Ontario will be my affordable option ... since I am a resident of Ontario I will do my research to find out where the big moose are here ... my options are:

Sioux Lookout, Red Lake, Hearst, Nipigon or maybe Wawa ... just have to pick the best ... closest ... or most interesting ... Wildlife Management Unit.

I will get a plane or train to dump me off somewhere in the middle of nowhere ... oh yeah I will need some hunting buddies as well ... lol ... that could be the hard part. Should do this before I get to old ... but it sounds to me like this could be a lot of fun and quite the experience.

I would look into a non-guided fly-in hunt in one of the more northerly units, for better odds at drawing a tag.
