If You Had To Sell All Your Guns Except Four

If you are going to wingshoot over a dog, get a double gun, either O/U or SXS.

If you want to pay money to make a gun uglier and less effective, let r' rip...

Don't care what anyone else thinks but a 28" barrel pump with a fully extended tube magazine looks pretty awesome. As long as it has a barrel clamp though. If its just hanging there it looks very goofy. Even the 3 shot extension with or even without barrel clamp looks okay. The red dot idea was just to piss people off which may of done it without even doing it. Remington 870's fit me very well. No fitting required with an 870. I've shot near perfect scores with a borrowed 870 express field in sporting clays but I just never bothered to buy one simply because I've always owned over/unders and side by sides simply because they look significantly better than any pump or semi other than the really cheap over/unders and side by sides. But $520 new or $400 +- $20 used for a decent pump action, especially in this time of my life where I'm spending lots of money on other things, is very attractive while the new CZ Redhead Premier will be $1000 - $1200.

So near perfect would be what, above 195 out of 200? That would be amazing if you are shooting that kind of score on registered targets. How long have you been a master class shooter?

Im not dissing the 870, as long as it's a Wingmaster... I have been a Wingmaster fan for more that four decades... However, the Express is no Wingmaster. I just don't see the point in any of the modifications that you talked about... the regular mag tube holds enough rounds for anything you are likely to do with the gun... but as long as you are happy with it, my opinion doesn't matter.

50 targets is one round of Sporting Clays. I shot 49/50 with a borrowed 870. Never have I gone over 41 with my 686 I had. My typical scores with both my CZ Redhead and Beretta 686 were 30 - 40. Trap singles is pussy #### especially from the 16 yard line. A perfect score 25/25 is pretty easy to achieve.

Oh I meant the Sportsmen. The sportsmen is then next model up from the express and one model down from the wingmaster. I agree though. The Wingmaster is by far the nicest 870 unless you like the scroll engravings of the American Classic. I would leave it the way it is. Its perfect already. An Express or Sportsmen is what I would buy just to screw around with it. The new Redhead Premier is looking really nice though. I got a long way to go before hunting season but I really want one of those Premiers. Expected to be around $1000 - $1200. Problem is, I have no idea who is going to sell it and when will it arrive.

50 targets may be one round of Sporting Clays on the field that you shoot on, but on the field that I normally shoot on, there are 25 stations, and during any shoot, a round is 150 to 200 shots. If you managed one 49/50 round, while your average score is 30-40, that one round may simply have been a fluke.

1. Desert eagle polished chrome .44
2. 500 SW
3. Winchester 1200 police stainless 12g
4. Remington 870p marine magnum

My 444xlr cut to 20" my 10/22 in a houge stock with 3x9 vortex my beater 870.

If I had a pistol probably a 1911 of sorts might trade the 10/22 for a stainless bolt .22 instead

Excellent news..
Yup , good news is they are safe and intact - the bad news is I'm 300 miles away and likely won't be allowed back fir several weeks at least! :>(
i'm more about my family's state of mind actually .
Not being allowed back right away is a small price considering the alternative.......

The good thing, is that you know that you still have a home to return to. A friend that rode a bus up to Syncrude yesterday tells me that there are still a lot of spot fires along the highway, that are being dealt with by the fire fighters.

Lots of downsizing going on.
I get the feeling that some are minimizing their firearms holdings in the lull before the storm (the next LPC anti gun pogrom).
I'm sure Ralph, Wendy and the boys at DOJ have a draft bill to repeal sections of c19 and c42 and much much more ready to table.
Deja vu flashbacks to 1993 when my spidey sense was telling me there was a storm brewing and then shortly after Rock tabled c68 in the Commons.
I thought Turdo would wait til after he formally ratified and signed Canada on to the UN small arms treaty and use that as an excuse but you never know.

1. Ruger 77/22
2. Rem 700 .17
3. Rem 700 vsf .22-250
4. Rem wingmaster .410

If I could only keep 1 it be the ruger 77/22. I shoot it almost everyday.

I amswered the question... and could technically survive with only three guns (Citori 625 12 gauge, 77/22 and M77-RS .358)... but realistically, I can't ever see myself with fewer than eight and more likely ten or twelve. Four shotguns, two rimfire and six centerfire... I suppose I would be ok with that.
