If you only rifles chambered in 2 cartridges, what would they be?

Well since hoytcanon took my ideal setup 25&35/06 ill go with bolt gun in 25/06 and a double in 45/70. It's what I use now and I can't think of anything I couldn't take down when loaded accordingly

22 Hornet because the ZKW 465 is beautiful and the kids can shoot it.
8x57 in a Brno 21H with scope and in a 22F with a peep.

My choice was & still is and if only 2 rifles in the cabinet, they would be a 6mm Rem. & .300 Weatherby.
My decision, made many years ago, - trajectories are about the same (dependent on load of course).

Depends where in Canada you live! In NB .223 to take full advantage of our stupid varmint caliber limits while still getting cheap ammo vs 22-250. And probably .308 cause we don't have grizzlies and most shots on big game are close so no need for anything larger.

If I was out west I'd probably go with .243 and .338WM...

I'm assuming that I can have another caliber for anything bigger than moose? In that case, I'd take a 22/250 and an 7 STW or maybe a .300 of one flavor or another. More than likely a Win Mag though.

Only two centre fire rifles, what a decision to make.

The 243 and the 308 would be one of my choices. If the 308 case was factory chambered in a .25 calibre it would be a 25-08 (should be called the 258 Winchester) and the 308 or 358.
That would make a great combination.
Possibly the 25 and 30 in 06 configurations would also be the ticket.
Unfortunately I think I would have to reluctantly forgo the ...

Although I'm hesitant to pass up on a 30-06, I'm thinking a 6.5x55 and a 9.3x62 should cover all the bases with some overlap. If it were only one, I'd probably say 30-06 with a lot
of humming and hawing before I did.

If it were two for the world, one would be a .375. After that, the second one wouldn't matter all that much.

I hear ya there, Dogleg, but given 2 rifles I'd still go for the 300 Wby and the Rigby...........now one rifle only would be a different matter..........a man would be hard pressed to beat a .375 H&H or Wby........personally I think I would still lean towards a 340 for a one gun does all......180 gns to 300 grns is tough to beat for ground hogs to elephants !!!!

I pity the ground hogs. :)
