If you were to only use one shot size for all whaterfowl what would you use ?

#2 for sure. I always load up with #2 for the first time of the day waiting on the ducks. Dont even think about it if the geese come in first. I only carry #2 and BB and sometimes I do #2,#2 BB lol

Kent Fasteel 3” in #2.

That is my go to load for waterfowl.

I only use one.....2's and I only shoot a 20ga now. I gifted my last 12 gauge field gun to a friend last fall and traded off all the 12ga steel ammo I had for 20ga. I shoot nothing now but 3" 7/8oz 2's through an SX3....

Last I was using was Federal no2’s for everything.
In steel of course, forget the velocity too.

I use 3" 1 1/4 BB for everything. I mostly hunt geese however. I will definitely shoot a duck with them however.

Most steel i shoot is 2.75" bb. Some days i pack #2. In rondeau bay i generally use #4 steel early season. I keep a box of #6 for water swatting crippled divers
BB in 10ga for everything
5 and 6 for bismuth if i pack a double
