Hey guys. I changed my 1942 Mosin Nagant, into something else. ATI stock, cut the barrel down to 20", tapped the receiver for a scope mount, and put a scope on it. Also did a bit of painting, and decided with this paint scheme.

Also, do you think I need to add anymore colour for the camo? I'm going for a woodland kinda thing. Also, how can I take my shiny bolt, and make it permanently black?

 
I had it out this week, and I was shooting a tire rim consistently at 100 yards using Chinese surplus. This was from crouching/standing. I haven't been able to get it on a bench though.

i like it alot. the camo pattern is very tactful.
 
It will be interesting to see if the mount stays put. Personally, I consider ati stuff (esp the stock) garbage. If you ever get to shooting it seriously, you would be far better off with a bedded boyds.
 
Looks like you did a good job. Not to everyone's taste but that doesn't really matter now does it. Not much in life that can't be judged subjectively and if you like it that's all that really counts.
