....

That is what I kept saying to myself while trying other guns. Now, it is the only left to try so I am seeing myself forced to buy one. Thinking of G17.

Being an HK koolaid drinker, will I survive the Glock experience? how long until I put it on the EE...? lol

anyway...

I like the idea of having it due to parts availability just in case my HK fails after round 91.2XX like the gun Todd Green had (http://pistol-training.com/archives/2668).

What do you guys say.cou:

love the gun, hate the trigger. im putting a pyramid trigger in mine soon, just tried one a couple days ago. no more plasticy snap and spring bouncing feeling, no more weird breaking point... ya its a $200 trigger but im getting one.

ive tried to put my glock up for sale a few times but can never bring myself to do it.

Congrats on coming to the dark side. ;) The real question is: how long until you put your HK on the EE?

So I give it about 20 minutes before someone else posts the "I always hated norinco but now I bought one" thread. Or do those usually come on on Fridays? :p

Hmm I kept say will never buy one but I have two gen3 g17s. This ugly gun you really need to buy one and find the true beauty. You will suffer from the trigger at the very beginning, then you want to sell it, then you find out how to manage and made use the trigger reset. The Glock to be the most easy gun to shoot among all my guns.

some people enjoy holding live grenades

I put trijicon sights and the beavertail on my G17 and like shooting it as much as my CZ SP01. It always looks like new, I can completely take it apart and parts are available everywhere. It's nice to have two completely different guns to bring to the range as well. I wouldn't say it's better or worse than any pistol, I'm just glad to have it.

Echo that, and when I get over confident with my CZ I shoot my Glock just to realize I need more work on my fundamentals

There is a reason behind Glock popularity.
In G17 format I would just stay away from Gen 4 for now, as it seems it's a hit or miss in terms of reliability.
In G22 Gen 4 is probably the way to go.
You need to upgrade the sights, otherwise I have no complaints about Glock.
If You don't like the factory set-up for the trigger, You may also try replacing the trigger spring with NY1 version and use 3.5 connector with it.
Slightly heavier trigger, but more crisp and with more positive reset.
Just remember that usually the aftermarket stuff is the reason why Glock is not working as it suppose to.

I was like that too when I first got my PAL. I didn't want such a plain gun that everyone had so I bought a Steyr M9A1 - My buddy got a G17 Gen 4 and I was like, Meh... After a few months and many other guns later I had a chance to shoot his stock G17 again... I thought, this ain't that bad. But I still hated the plain boring look of Glock... Well, just earlier this week, after a bit of research and coming across a nice deal - I ordered a G34 Gen 4... I shoot IDPA and shoot a few different pistols - but never a practical tactical... so for $830 shipped to my door brand new... how could I say no? It should be arriving today - will see how it is at the range!

The Gen 4 issues have been put to bed long ago.. mine is a gen 4 bought over a year ago and just absolutely reliable..

Hahahahaha

what was wrong with the Steyr? I like the design and I might get one just to try it.
IT looks a lot like the Caracal (same designer ex glock)

I love my Steyr. Perfect ergos for my hands, just want to try new toys and see what the rage is all about with Glocks. I still think Steyrs are a better and simpler design, and very underrated. Unfortunately there isn't much aftermarket support and not many gunsmiths know how to do trigger jobs on Steyrs.

If you need a trigger job, then you need training. Learn to shoot.
