I'm SO Impressed With This .22LR Bolt Action Rifle...

Center fire guys always talk in a condescending tone when talking about rimfire or to rimfire guys .
This thread is a perfect example

Not really... just a posting error. I thought a moderator would have moved it to the correct forum by now...

I seen it as a simple posted it in the wrong section. Same thing can be said about rimfire, there is alot of talking down on people. If you don't shoot center x or tennex, or .5" group, you're nothing. It's kinda the reason why many people don't attempt challenges.

For almost 15 years my only bolt action .22 was a Savage Mark II-G. It was OK...it was cheap/affordable, and performance was reasonable. Some issues with feeding on 10 round mags, but I just got used to the quirks. Last year I picked up a 457 (Canadian). Compared to my Savage, it is night and day. Bolt is so smooth, feeding is like butter, and accuracy is superb. The craftsmanship is also wonderful and my only regret is that I did not buy it sooner.

Look at the title of this post, even it were posted in rimfire section it would be still condescending.
The title implies that 22lr bolt action should not be so accurate

What's so surprising about a shooter discovering how accurate a particular rifle can be? I'm SO Impressed With This .22LR Bolt Action Rifle...

You must have a different meaning of condescending... I have not seen anything in this thread that constitutes condescending... it was a simple posting in the wrong forum... I think we have all done it... I know I have.

adjective: condescending

having or showing a feeling of patronizing superiority.

Well, I'm happy for the fellow with his new CZ. I have several CZ rimfires, 1 452 FS, 9 455's, and 3 457's. I went down the rabbit hole a bit farther the other day and bought a CZ 557 8x57 from a fellow CGN'r.

When guys are crowing about how accurate their (insert brand here) is, I always think of a young man at a shoot many years ago at Consul, SK. Someone had a motorized setup with little steel ducks going along a chain. That fellow plugged every duck, without fail. To top things off, he was left handed, the gun was an old, old rh bolt, the gun was probably older than his father, and it was a single shot to boot! I have never forgotten that performance. I realize the difference between good shooting (the young man) and an accurate gun.

I guess I could say that young fellow put me in my place, not that he was an arrogant fellow.

I'm just glad he found a 455 in the wild. I thought they were all sold out. I got a fine one on EE this Spring and it's a nice feeling to get some 0.3xx " groups now and then. Working on more consistency, but the weather has put a end to that up here in NB. Laast time out I kept 100 rounds in my shirt pockets until loading a mag. At least I didn't have to worry about overheating the barrel

I'm looking for that exact rifle for my next purchase, love the stock on it.

Which scope did you go with? What kind of accuracy are you getting?

I love 22LR! Lately that's what I've been shooting the most. You can blow through 100 rounds and not cringe every time you pull the trigger.

Glad you love your CZ, OP. I've never owned one but I've heard good things about them.

That's why you see so many 45-70 lever actions for sale, seems like a cool idea but if its a range toy and you don't roll your own, it gets pricey. $3 a round adds up fast.

Grab some Eley or RWS match ammo and throw it through the CZ. On the day you will be shooting cloverleafs at 50 yards if you do your part. Be careful, putting 5 though the same hole can become an addictive goal yet attainable with a CZ.

A great idea I've already acted on. Well, the getting the ammo part at least. I'm looking to make an ammo comparison video using this rifle and some Eley match vs a few other types including Norma, CCI and Federal. Maybe others.
