Just sent you guys an e-mail. Perhaps you can answer it here.

Can you import these items for me?

Noveske AR-15 5.56mm 10.5" CQB barrel

Noveske KX3 Flash Suppressor

Details can be found at:

http://www.jnrifleworks.com/

Thanks :D!

The US State Department will NOT approve a new permit application for a rifle with a barrel less than 16".

Sorry, my question was not entirely clear. I'm not interested in the whole gun. Just the barrel and flash hider.

State Department doesn't seem to care whether it's the whole rifle or just the barrel... their response is the same. Less than 16" is rejected.

We applied to export a quantity of short barrels and were turned down even though they were for law enforcement sales... we were required to supply end-user certificates from specific agencies and letterhead purchase order to get the permits approved.

I don't know if anyone else is having success getting approvals for short barrels but we haven't.

will you handle imports from countries other than the US? i'm lloking at importing a rifle from Australia in the not to distant future

We only do Imports and Exports between Canada and the US. No plans at this time to add any other countries.

Just to play the devil's advocate, have you concidered trying to import pistol barrels, or barreled uppers for the AR-15 pistols you've been looking to import??

Does the item in the US have to come from a source that will export? Do you have an affiliate with a FFL in the US that items can be shipped to before exportation? I have come across a number of US dealers that will only ship to a FFL within the US. They don't even want to hear the word "export".

I've gone throught the process with Questar. Short answer... Yes, they do have a partner on the other side that has an FFL - and can take delivery of the item you've purchased. They can then hold on to the item until all of the paperwork is approved before shipping it up this way... HTH's

hsld.

I have been speaking with someone in the US (dealer) who'd sell me a compact Glock with extended barrel already in place (original barrel would not be included) - Would I be correct in assuming that Questar would only charge me the $200 firearm importation fee (and possibly the extra $ to have it verified)?

Thanks.

Can you export a Restricted Pistol to the states? Such as an old 1911? If so can you have it taken out of the registry as such?

thanks for the info, and for the RRA Lower,

regards,

Just the Import Service Fee and the Customs Duty and GST. Verification and registration is part of the Import Service Fee.

Yes we can do Exports to the US... but the process is VERY SLOW. The Permanent Import Permits are issued by ATF and they are very slow to respond and review applications. If you want more info contact us through regular e-mail.

Will you pin the mags to the 5 and 10 rounds respectively for long and short guns?

We're really not setup to pin everyone's mags. You need to either make those arrangements with your US Seller (as part of the purchase deal)... or what most people do is leave/sell the high caps in the US and arrange to get Canadian "legal" magazines for the gun (either here or there).

Mark imported a 16" RRA carbine that I bought off a guy on another forum, it was quick and easy, and well worth it. Highly recommended!
