In choosing a rifle, which is more important to you, form or function?

Function and looks for me.. usually you can get both but it costs more. Unfortunately that is why most of my guns are expensive ones. I do not buy cheap looking or cheap feeling guns, they have to feel and look quality, ergonomics also fall into that.
 
Function IS beauty.
Mauser 98, LE No4, S&W, Garand ... and the soo so many more masterpieces that are out there. How about a Norwegian Krag for example?.

Gunmakers art.
Functional art.
Machined forged steel and walnut.
 
It is neither form or function...it is both. The design of the rifle influences how the end user perceives and use the rifle. It must go hand in hand to achieve its goal.
