IN-STOCK: All-New TYPE 81 SR

Here are the pics from the group. I would include the review but there is no point. Will wait for others on this forum to add their Perspective and experiences.

I doubt anybody has received their full rifle yet.

I ordered within the first hour and got my scope today, the rest is scheduled for next Tuesday.

Why would they send the scope separatelly?
Is that a thing and did anyone else recieve the scope before the rifle?

Plugged batteries in, and can barely see the crosshairs! Atleast that’s what I’ve heard. Got me worried for no reason, hope that he just got a lemon.

I used to have a POSP scope and there is likely nothing wrong with yours.
Those are not designed to be daylight bright and will only be visible in darker enviroinment (when you actually need them to be).

Here in North America, a scope needs to be daylight bright and have 30+ intensity settings in order to be considered any good (purposelly exaggerating to make a point)...over there it just needs to work when you need it.

At a quick 4am glance.. the rifle fit and finish overall is quite nice. Pretty heavily coated in oil. Rifle appears to be straight. Rivets are tight. Handguards are tight. Grip isn't super comfortable with largish hands. A little cramped in the thumb hole. Finger reaches trigger no problem. Trigger does feel alot nicer nicer than other type 81's shorter pull a little take up and just a little creep, breaks pretty light and has a super short reset. Mags appear to be well manufactured. The cheek rest seems a little bit delicate but remains to be confirmed.. the mount included with the npz sight is manufactured by Herron arms. The scope is legit, made in Russia. The glass is actually pretty nice overall better than expected ( anyone know what battery these things take?) Rifle and scope were shipped separately and arrived at the same time. Only issue with mine out of the box is the safety was not snapped into place and fell out of the gun after actuation- easily popped back into place though and is now secure. Happy with this rifle out of the box and look forward to getting out to the range!

In the important notes it mentions that trigger stop screw having to be swapped out?

It looks like it comes with a replacement longer screw.. on the rifle I received the screw doesn't really seem nessesary as there is almost no over travel.

Anyone care to opine on how long from purchase to shipped?

Ordered the morning they were posted. Received yesterday. Order was already in the mail for a few days before I received shipping notification. Shipped from Calgary and I am one province over

LOL it better at $1500 for a Chinese gun, without any of the bells and whistles.

The fact that it is made in China does not really mean anything. I know a lot about car parts, they are basically all made in China, from super cheap sh.. to top quality.

Depends what you want to pay.

What about Canadian made rifles? Following your argument, they are all good? Yes, No?

There is a French Canadian guy who makes your LMG look like a SVD, what do you think the price tag is?

Remember, this is being sold at the same price as the LMG. what else do you expect?

From what I gathered so far it is a nice retro rifle, all about the looks, and yes, it is a real gun and fires.
