IN-STOCK: All-New TYPE 81 SR

I'm with you Wasn't planning on buying anything else pricey this year ($2500 all in) and this came up and I had to. Looks so sleek and it's everything I'm after, a caliber I have lots of, scoped from the factory and a semi-auto! Had to get one before they get sold out like the other T81s that lasted what 48H ? Plus it's the best one for me as the other ones are difficult to scope ..

For a bipod btw I think you'd have to drill into the front handguard as there doesn't seem to be a swing swivel there you could use to mount one on. I'm going to leave mine stock, the ad mentions the long flat handguard is to help stabilizing it on a surface.

Yeah, I'm thinking a shooting bag is the best option. I hate the barrel clamp-on ones. Plus, extra weight.

I made the mistake of waiting a few days for the T81s... Yeah, not so much this time.

I had no choice, really. I had to pick one up.

Really excited to grab one of these. Thanks for bringing them in.

Question: What's the general consensus for a bipod for this rifle? Use one? No? If so, which one?

you re not the only one.

for the question on bipod i wont use one on mine.

Ill wait it out for all the issues to come up with this batch before I buy one. First gen t97 over drilled gas port... first batch folders... bent.. what could go wrong

tactical is strange for getting the delivering info but always working good. but at least we re getting the info on screening now.

yes, got the notification as well even though the old one from the folder I bought last month is still valid.

Usually when they update the status to shipped it already is in the mail.

Meh. Approx 3-5 MOA with semi-auto 7.62x39 “marksman” style rifle is just fine.

It’s funny how “sniper” now refers to the rifle instead of the person shooting it.

There hasn’t been many issues with these T81s. Just bent folders.

The elongated gas system is my only concern… I can fix that with a drill. Lol

Arguably the solid wood SVD stock runs a higher risk of developing a crack... but only time can tell for that one. There is a reason why most thumbhole stocks like the PSL and SVD are Laminate
