IN-STOCK: All-New TYPE 81 SR

I wonder if the longer piston will make the firearms bit smoother for quicker or maybe more precise followup shots then the shorter piston on the standard LMG. It would be interesting to see a five shot direct on paper comparison.

6.5 Grendel $1.25-$2 a round. By the time you recalibrate this rifle and buy the not plentiful ammo why wouldn’t you just buy another rifle in the cartridge your looking for. Everyone just stop this craziness. Iam very happy this rifle is in 7.62x39. Lots and lots of plinking ammo!!! Most guys buying this rifle can’t even shot 250-300 yards or have a spot/range that reaches out that far.To each their own I guess.

Well recieved my scope and rifle is at post office lol!!!

Online my order still says "processing".

Can't wait for the rifle. Scope is genuine
Glad I went with it

Curtton, with the scope installed, how is it for us lefties looking thru it? (Head cranked off to the side or not too bad)?

i m using a dragunv adapter cheek (the same kind as on the sr) for my folder and it is good . pretty sure it will be better with the sr81 stock than the folder. the only optic so far that doesnt need a cheek weld extra for me is the kobra sight all others need a little support, so i do think the sr81 stock is helping that support. it will depend on your head shape and design of course.

Note that GNutzGuy said in his overview the cheek riser is reversible for lefties.

Yes I am well aware of all of this but I want to know physically how it feels for a lefty on this subject as when I use to mount POSP scopes on my vz58s, me being a lefty really needed to tilt my head over to the left side of the rifle to be able to see straight thru the scope.
And YES I know the person who developed this mount (as I was a tester for it too) but never had the chance to use this kind of optic

that will maybe a bit of a problem as the mount is not really lefty friendly for some.

i did not shoot the version from china that is the same stock design as the one we have here but on 3 others versions it was not a problem for me nor the other t81s and i used a posp as well without too much extra cheek support nor too much leaning of my face. so good luck and wait your report as you re getting your stuff very soon.
