I believe there should be adjustment on the eyepiece like most of the scopes, made for people who has myopia or hyperopia.

I have not received mine yet but I do know there is a tension adjustment, I’m not sure if that Happens to be too tight if that prevents it at all?

There is a tension adjustment for sure, but even when its slack i still need to tap the scope mount to even get it going onto the rail, which also marred the rail which leads me to believe its slightly out of spec or something.

Like you said if I had to bet on one being out of spec if that is the problem it would be the Canadian mount.

The tension adjustment isnt controlled by the throw lever if thats what ur confused with ?

I’m not sure I have not handled one of these scopes yet I was not sure if maybe if the tension is set to full if it would not even allow it on the mount even in the unlock position, was just saying as a possible thing to check is all.

Check this https://youtu.be/0rXe0d1tVIU?t=780, if you sure you adjusted the tension but after loosening it up and still not able to install the mount or secure it, maybe a defected one.
 
You need to spin the castle nut under the bottom of the scope mount to loosen it up just enough to slide it on and still have it tight when throwing the lever closed

TI had sent the wrong rail with my Kobra and a previous T81.

If it doesn’t fit, it might be the wrong rail.
 
I got mine and it’s lovely.

NOTE: the cheek riser is completely unnecessary (at least for me). Installing it will scratch the stock. Do your self a favor and leave it in the box. LEARN FROM MY MISTAKE.

It’s still lovely tho.

I agree, plus with the cheekrest makes it harder for us lefties
