IN-STOCK: All-New TYPE 81 SR

they forgot to include the npz rail in the npz box ... but that is good if we need to see how the stock are really weak or not ...

Well, it's TI's problem to not include the rail in the npz box I think. But the trigger screw is on Norinco or the Chinese Poly Technologies who made the rifle. Since the rile is sealled in a plastic bag, it is most likely the Chinese manufacture forgot to put the screw and nut in. By saying this, there seems not much chance we can get a pair of factory screw and nut. I'm using the screw attached on the receipt without the nut seems working tho. The nut is suppose to add additional force on the trigger guard and screw to keep the screw from getting loose. Not sure if without the nut, the screwn can withstand the recoil. I'm going to the range tomorrow and let's see.

Over two weeks in....what order number sequences are trickling in? 18100's, 18200's, 18300's.....? Bueller..... Bueller....

My order is 1831X and was Notified my accessories were shipped Friday the 14th, not sure if the rifle was shipped also but I only received the one tracking number.

Oh boy. This isn’t good.

I took my top cover off to inspect how the stock is held on. Looks like two pins and not a lot of material around them either.

Mine is an unfired wall hanger until I find out if this is a one off, or a common problem.

Is there enough wood under where those pins are to replace them with wood screws? Just wondering.

Well as simple as I wanted to makes this all I did in preventative measure was put a simple 1" brass wood screw thru the perfect fit hole just behind the recoil spring:

I'm more then confident now this will take any unnecessary stress or flex off of those 2 bottom roll pins.

Was this unnecessary, YES. Should we have to do anything like this, NO.
This was an oversight on TI and the designers. Nit their fault but hopefully everyone who purchased these rifles will
A) either get a replacement stock JIC
or
B) they have a remedy from the factory for all of us buyers.

Until then I'll continue to play with and use this rifle without any worry
