IN-STOCK: All-New TYPE 81 SR

They already stated in the other dumpster fire thread that they will replace full rifles to anyone who's stock breaks

Oh that's amazing to hear! I started reading that thread and the hate and toxicity there stopped me.. internet losers spouting their trash. "Sks is best rifle, why would you get anything else, omg chinesium trash rofl"

Sounds solid. I was thinking the same but I didn't want to start dremeling the dust cover just yet but very good idea for sure. Snap some pics for us to see how it turned out

I’m not technology savvy enough to post pics.

But if anyone wants to see it. Shoot me a PM with your email and I’ll send the photos. I did take some photos already.

I also promise not to spam you! Haha.

Looks clean. Nice and secure. I might add a washer aswell now

i mounted the npz scope on the kobra rail that is installed on a folder just for fun but i do not see an issue of mounting any rail to any optic ready rifle.

I am actually planning on putting the NPZ on a folder for fun also, i have not received my hardware yet but how is the positioning for the use of scope? Good enough for some fun plinking? Also are you
Able to use the iron sights with the scope on?

Just wondering how the shorter folding stock will be with the eyerelief of the npz scope

i received the scope but the rail was missing in the box.

Ohh, hopefully they send you out one quick, was the length of pull
Horrible? At least usable? I suppose everyone is different in that aspect worst case I guess I might just find a rubber buttpad somewhere and put it on if needed depending how
Much is needed.

im using a rubber pad on the folder that is a need indeed,

Sad to know there is a stock issue.
Today I went to the range and tested the rifle, the scope is pre-zeroed. Right on target out of box no adjustment. Will post some photos later on.

There has only been two reported cases of this, considering the hundreds upon hundreds that have been shipped this is a very very rare issue.

The SR unwent an extensive and thorough testing program, including drop tests and a 6000 round reliability and durability tests, to which these passed with flying colours. These are built to factory milspec standards.

Unfortunately not everything man-made is 100%, every manufacturer will have the occasional issue from time to time. Regardless, if anyone has any issue at all please shoot us an email and we'll take care of, no worries!

That sounds like a very thorough test program, wow!

Do you recommend we do the screw mod for extra stability as per bfiles and some members above ? Seeing pictures of the stock removed and ?2mm of wood in front of the top stock
bolt has me concerned. That thin wood is what looks to have broken for that one member who posted pics. Let us know what you think TI, thanks !

Out of curiosity, was this testing done specifically for the TI run, or is the SR a "Forgotten Weapon" developed for potential clients of the factory, but never put into production until TI brought them the thought Dragonov-less Canadian customers would appreciate this as the closest thing they could get?

Edit: Also, what does SR stand for?
