I recently got my Beretta CX4 Storm and wanted a flashlight on it but did not want to spend big dollars on one nor did I want something that is bulky and heavy. It had to meet the following criteria:

-It had to be water resistant
-Use batteries that can be easily acquired such as AA and AAA
-Be light and compact
-Have a 1" diameter for mounting inside a scope ring
-Not add a lot of weight
-Be an efficient LED type bulb
-Be very bright
-Be built out of aluminum and be strong

I found these small Ultrafire flashlights on Amazon for under $4.00. They are lightweight aluminum, water resistant, have a 300 lumen Cree LED, they zoom in, and they are powered by a AA battery. Perfect but the price looked too good to be true so I thought that this was going to be a total piece of junk, but for 4 bux I figured it was worth a shot. After what felt like a decade for shipping (since its free) they finally came in. Wow what a deal! Let me tell you guys, these are not cheaply built at all. So far I am very impressed with them. The only downside is that the section that is 1" in diameter is not very long (around 3/4") so you will need a thin scope ring.

I mounted it to an cheap aluminum scope ring I had laying around and mounted the ring to the left side of the rifle. It is very easy to click the button on and off as it is within reach of my thumb. I took some pics to give you guys a clearer idea of exactly what to expect. The section forward of the ring slides forwards and backwards for your zoom. These can easily zoom in to 50 yards.

I just bought 2 of those lights for everyday use. But now I'm thinking I'll try mount one too. They are really good for the money. You can pull out the lense part to focus the light into a tight beam which I think is a good feature. And these things are super bright. Blinding in fact.

I have several of that offshore brand of LED lights, and only a couple have crapped out on me so far. Since they are so cheap, replacement LED modules are cheap too. I tried that tiny little zoomable light that is in your picture, but the zoom feature was annoying. I ended up mounting it so the light mount held the bezel in place after I decided which setting was best. It was not as bright as some of my other lights even though it's rated at 300 lm and my other ones are less. Not bad though...and for four bucks, really can't say anything bad about it...lol.

Exactly, even if it craps out after a month its no major loss. Cant really see it happening with a 9mm though, I have another on my Remington 870 that I'll also be testing(never got a chance to go to the range today) I also have two more on order to have spares. How bright is bright enough for you? With this little guy I can light up any room in the house just fine. I can zoom in at the 25 and 50 yard targets just fine so I dont need anything bigger or brighter than this.

Can you post the link please? Thanks

It's plenty bright enough for what I need it for...just saying that I don't put much stock on the vendor's lumen rating. :)

200 more rounds on the CX4 today and still going strong. I think this is a permanent add on for this rifle. I also put a box of 00 buck and numerous target load rounds through my 870, flashlight is still going on that one too.
