Info on 2009 IPSC Nationals

They have been, haven't they?

Nope........

Those are the results for the individual component matches that make up a 3 gun match.

The tournament results are the culmination of the three events taking into account the various divisions that individuals are in and separating them into Open and Standard.

I input the STD results (Std and Prod Handgun, Std Rifle and Std SG) Looks like I came in 4th for Std Tournament.

It is a separate report withing WINMSS that needs to be generated.

Looks like you outshot your youngling. He needs to work on his rifle training :) Better get him some more .223 ammo to practice with :)

I ran the results through excel.

Looks like I came in 4th in Std Rifle He came in 13th.
I am happy with his progress thus far. He had a real hard time with the 280 yd targets free hand. Specially since he was shooting a borrowed upper. His 10.5 could not make minor velocity.

What was the required velocity? (And what mass bullets?)

any word on the tournament results?
Jim told me yesterday that tournament results were not used as that would have made it all one match. IE Had someone DQed in rifle, they would have DQed in pistol and shotgun. (or any other combo) He didn't want to cause a skew to the traditional pistol championships. So, each match - pistol, rifle, shotgun - were all separate matches and an aggregate was done.

55 grain

Need 150 pf for minor

10.5 inch barrel theoretically comes in at 150.5 on a good day.

Well that is unfortunately not true..........but it is too late as if the GT system were used now it would require inputing all the scores again. That I would not ask of any sane man...

You need to select a tournament off the main menu first before anything else. WINMSS then will automatically create the handgun, rifle and shotgun matches for you. Each a separate match in it's own right. You also input the competitors into the tournament itself and it prompts you for the various divisions. The system then separates the various combinations to generate overall results. It is really quite seamless and an excellent feature of the software. Sadly it is little known as 3 gun matches are rare.

If anyone wants a more detailed explaination send me a PM>

Likewise if anyone wants the results that I generated using excel let me know and I can email them to you.

I'd like them. I'm getting tired of trying to explain to people I don't know where, exactly, I placed;-)

How are tournament results different from taking all of the points from each stage and adding them together?

Is it just an average of the percentages from all 3 separate events?
