Info on my Remington 700?

The first letter looks like a C which is April, W is 1972.

The 1972 manufacture date means it will not have the bolt anti-bind feature which was introduced in '74.

Some will see the bolt locking safety as a plus.

I put value on that one at about $450-500 without the scope.

I agree,...this action without anti-bind feature and bottom metal is worth no more than $350 to me.

You can set your buying and your selling prices at what ever you want... but that really has no bearing on what others may choose to do...

Of course. My post was meant to reflect my guess at current open market value. I suspected that $400 was too low of a guess by a different poster and that $450-$500 was closer to market average. Was my guess inaccurate?

With the scope you are correct in my opinion. A little more if a BDL or CDL.
