Hello,
I'm not knowledgeable in the "black and green" shotgun world, my last "defense" shotgun being a Remington Model 10A that was cut down. So bear with me please!
I have it on good information that the best bang for my buck for a short, plain and reasonably cost effective shotgun is a Mossberg 500.
I am interested in picking one up sometime in the future and would like to know:
What should someone pay for one brand new these days? Used?
Can you buy the Mossberg 500 "Military" as a civilian? I understand it has a metal trigger guard and safety slide which is preferred. This model was brought to my attention by a friend who recently came home from the "Sandbox".
Can you get a Mossberg 500 with wood furniture as opposed to synthetic?
Is it common/possible to install choke tubes into the Mossberg 500?
Thanks for the info,
Drach
