Inglis Pistol Photo Gallery - please join in

Thanks Tom E Gun. Bought this one in Oshawa in 1970. Could have bought 2 more but didnot have the funds. One was in the white (lunchbox). Have some mags for it. Have an unmarked barrel also.

I agree, looks like original marking to me. Looking in "Inglis Diamond" it appears that only 500ish 10T pistols were produced and there is no date of manufacture for any serial number over 9T3638. So presumably your pistol was made after Oct 1945 (the latest 9T production date).

Have original holster and cleaning rod plus 3 mags.

Is that a machine screw limiting the mag capacity??
More of a rivet. It isn't removable without drilling. That is what was there when I bought the pistol. In fact I wasn't able to load more than nine rounds.

Your welcome. Bought it from a person near Spencerville just south of Ottawa. I shot the Inglis pistol while in the CAF. Always wanted one of my own. It was in the seller's father's estate large collection. Also bought a Spanish civil war Mosin and an 1950's vintage S&W 38 Model 10, a 1953 target rifle and some other stuff.. I had to stop myself as he had several hundred firearms in the collection and I was starting to lose my sanity lol. He had two Enfield #2 380/200 in really good shape and lots of 38 S&W brass to go with them. I almost bought one but ......... lol

I picked up a "3CH" serialized Inglis pistol last week for $400. It came with 3 aftermarket mags, and Barrel, slide and receiver are matching numbers. It has the 500 yard ramp sight,

What is the difference with the 1CH 2CH 3CH ect? What is a "lunch box special" I keep reading?

Are these Chinese pistols more desirable then the Canadian issue versions?

Nothing different between 1,2,3 , just the prefix for 10,000 pistols in that run. Inglis series numbers are the prefix and 4 digits. CH is also the Chinese contract. Lunch box is a stolen pistol from the factory, 1 piece at a time. Won't have a factory serial number and can be a mix of Canadian and Chinese parts.

Found a box of Chinese Military Inglis Browning High Power stocks
that I got in 1980s. The lettering supposed to say "for Browning high power pistol", so not to confuse them with may set 96 stocks
