Bench top was definitely not strong enough by itself. Had to add a centre post to give it some rigidity.

Yea, can't remember why I chose that top. Probably a price thing. Those tables aren't exactly cheap. Anyway with the centre post it seems pretty solid.

I have routed mine flush and mounted it flush with the face oh the bench. That required making longer bolts.

I did the same and am glad its not sticking out the front.
