Brakes will measure .997 approx. in diameter with the knurled nut being slightly larger. We have found the knurled nut holds very well in deed. We have found a small wooden do

I hope to get my barrel threaded on soonish and will be running a brake afterwards. Was planning on the APA, but as mentioned, it's nice to have CDN options.

They said it was phosphate black, so yes.
