Insite Arms introducing the "Heathen" Muzzle Brake

Received my Heathen break the other week and put it on my PGW Coyote. Overall I was quite impress with the break. The break was easy to install and level up. It is a truly well design and made muzzle break. Went to the range on Friday afternoon to test it out. It was really nice to fire. Here are a few pictures and couple of videos of the break in action. Hats off to Insite Arms. They are really nice guys to deal with.

Tried mine out on the weekend. Unfortunately, it was snowing so hard I could only see the targets for a few seconds at a time. Don't seem to get any back-blast from it. My barricade was covered in snow and it wasn't firing it into my face, so thats a good sight.

I am very interested in one of these and have an unanswered email off to them. What is the inside diameter of the bullet pathway for a .30 caliber brake? I want to know if it could technically allow clearance for a .338 bullet even if that is not the intent.

I just wanted to add that I have had several e-mails back and forth regarding this and have received precise, excellent replies back every time: so far I give them the highest praise! Because of this I should have my own Heathen at week's end, hopefully!

Thk

EDIT: .... and it's here. An awesome design! What I call the "backing lock nut" is an awesome design, along with the flat spot for a level underneath (where caliber marking is located too). Level rifle, level brake, use the backing lock nut... done.

Can't wait to try it out. Hopefully on Sunday... hopefully.

I want to add that this is a CANADIAN made product. I have a much more expensive American product and this Heathen looks better: better machining, crisper lines, better edges.

Just wanted to add that I was out working on load developments today and after firing 48 rounds of 300WM over most of a day (barrel cooling time, lunch break, etc.) I would say it was even pleasant to shoot, kicking less than my .308WIN. Shooting prone in the open I had no issues with excessive noise or blow back of gasses: it even didn't stir up the grass clippings left from the day before.

Thank you for an excellent product!

Oh my god...that's too much. Get that rifle outta here.

Hey where'd ya get that 2 round holder? I can't find one.

Yeah they're out of stock. I tried contacting them and they didn't get back to me.

So where so we buy this brake? I don't see any store on their website

Wow. This brake is amazing, shot without it was OK. Shot with felt like a 223! Then shot without again and damn it felt like a mule kicking.

I had to add 0.4 mrad in elevation. Really wish I could use this brake for BCRA PR events.

Wow you have Desert Tech threading! Just re-threaded mine to 5/8x24 because of the lack of brake options. D'oh! :bangHead:
Any chance you guys have tested this on a DT Covert? Really curious how bad the back blast is with the Heathen on a 28" 300WM bullpup.

Hi Barbarian,
Here is my SRS A1 Covert 308 16 inches with the brake. It works great and it's super easy to install. I'm really happy with this purchase! Highly recommended

That's great news! My only worry is that the large baffle vents up and my optic is right to the end of the rail...still might be good to go. I think the solution is to get a longer scope that extends past the muzzle. lol ;)

Shot the Heathen brake at the PNTC PRS match this weekend. Worked great! ROs on this stage put down a tarp because brakes were firing things back at them. Shot the heathen laying in the dirt on most stage and wasn't firing anything back at the ROs.
