I completely agree, you would think a rifle that expensive would have some sort of tightening system. Heck the ACR is half the price and it has an awesome ratchet tightening system.

It's a DM rifle. It's both easier and cheaper to make a very accurate semi auto with a DI gas system rather than gas piston.

I agree. The price is ridiculous.

DI would be cheaper to manufacture. Clearly they don't plan on passing any savings to the consumer.

I wouldn't buy this rifle. I would buy a XCR-M before this. I have a RFB though so I'm happy.

I just wish my AR10 rifles and 308AR s were non restricted. Then there wouldn't even be a discussion about this rifle. Other than as a passing joke.

I need one of these. Hopefully they'll come to Canada, but I imagine if they do they'll get Restricted if anything, and cost upwards of 3k.
It looks like the alignment needs to be pretty exact to get the barrel connected, and that nut needed a whole lot of tightening. Would need to see one closer to be sure, but perhaps a bevel somewhere would make it easier to pop the barrel in.

Cost would be upwards of 6K actually

From what I can see from the video (and having built a few AR's as well) the barrel alignment looks typical AR... with a slot & alignment pin...
