Ruger Precision Rimfire, Savage b22 Precision, CZ457 or 455 , Tikka T1x
Is your $600 for rifle only. A CZ 455/457 with a Vortex Diamondback Scope will be in the $1000-$1200 range.
If $600 is you max, then I would look a a Savage with a Cabelas Covenant Scope, should come in around $600

If you want to try without heavy inversement. Savage mkII and vortex Diamondback tactical will get you started and on par with everyone else for production class.
If you enjoy it, you can upgrade later and move to open.
Exactly why production class is there. To get you started and enjoying it without gear being a major factor.
Was looking into rimfire precision Matches .. question, what is a good entry 22lr precision rifle for these matches. Around the 600 price range.
Many thanks.
Do I have buy a diamondback? Cause I have a vortex VIper PST. Would that be kosher for production?
I think I’ll get a Savage MK 2 rifle. Have a vortex VIper PST.
Entry level gun, so that I can have me feet wet. And if I like, might sell my Tavor to fund a sweet rig. Thanks again guys.
I just played with the mark ii in store, the bolt feels rough but will probably wear in over time, on the other hand the Tikka T1X is butter smooth and has a solid lockup straight out the box. One cost twice as much as the other.
