Introducing our newest chassis: The MDT LSS (Light Sniper System)

I see that there's an out of stock option for the Ruger American short action - do you know when these will be available? Is it only in the LSS? Have they already been produced where I could see examples?

Does the V-block need to be bedded on the LSS? I noticed the LSS-XL says it doesn't.

This is the very first production run of the Ruger American. It is completing this week and will have pictures soon. Only the LSS will be available.

No bedding on any of our chassis!

Man your descriptions are confusing.

I'm trying to decide on an lss or lss-xl, i like the longer foreend on the xl, but I won't buy it if it wont work with carbine stock options. - I've flipped through 20 odd pages and haven't found an answer yet

So MDT, can i use the XL chassis with a carbine stock? will it look unfinished?

appreciate any input

Yes, you can use a carbine stock on the LSS-XL. Many people do this.
It is the same as an AR interface. It does not look unfinished, but personal opinion may differ on that.
For example, this AR has a collapsible stock, but it accepts both fixed and collapsible. Exact same concept as the LSS-XL (or HS3, TAC21 and the majority of systems that accept AR-15 buttstocks) http://image.sportsmansguide.com/adimgs/l/6/644587_ts.jpg

Thanks for that pic

i was looking to see if your lss-xl will take a grip with a beavertail - but your site is down!

edit: found some pics, it doesn't look too bad!

Just a heads up, I can't get on to your website. I'd like to investigate your Howa action chassis' when it's back up.

Yup, we are aware of it. It is getting moved to a bigger and better server to handle the amount of people that like to come for a visit :) . Will be up shortly.

Congrats, that's awesome for you guys! Since I have your attention, are your chassis' compatible with the Vanguard 2 actions (both long and short)?

Ruger American Ranch 223/556. Crappy cell phone pictures. I'll do better next time. Now to find a nice compact optic.

Any suggestions on mounting a sling via flush cups to an LSS/LSS-XL chassis? I've got a TIS sling on mine right now; flush cup mount for the rear to go to the lite skeleton stock, and a Talon sling swivel/hook on the front to attach to a stock bipod stud. Kinda wanting to go to flush cup mounts front and rear... I've seen some picatinny rail adapters for that sort of thing on ARs; any other options or suggestions?
